Xref to proved candidate referencing for 2018 Commonwealth Games
Human resources technology company Xref (ASX: XF1) today announced that it has secured the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) contract to provide third party reference checking services.
Xref automates the candidate referencing process through an easy to use, mobile-friendly, cloud-based technology platform. The platform will be used to support the hiring of approximately 1,400 paid staff before and during the Commonwealth Games, and each hire will require at least one preferred candidate reference check.
The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games will be the largest sporting event hosted by Australia in this decade. The eleven-day event begins on 4 April 2018 and more than 6,000 athletes and team officials from 71 countries will participate.
Xref's platform offers significant advantages for employers as it takes an average 20 seconds to make a reference request, and 24 hours to provide a complete report including analytics. The process provides 60% more data than traditional processes, improving the quality of reference checking, helping to reduce reference fraud and saving time. The company's more than 350 clients include 20 per cent of the ASX top 50.

Xref joins companies including Seek, Ticketek and Centium Software providing services for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. More than 1,400 paid staff, 15,000 volunteers and 45,000 contractors will support GC2018.
