Probation Period

A probation period is typically a three to six month period at the beginning of an employee’s tenure with an organisation. It is designed to be a ‘trial’ where the law allows employers to assess whether the employee is suitable for the role they’ve been hired into. The new employee also has the opportunity to assess whether the role/organisation is the right fit for them.
