Log in to SmartRecruiters and select the candidate you wish to perform a reference check on.
On the right-hand side, under ‘assessments’, make sure ‘preferred’ is selected and click ‘Order assessments’.
Once your candidate has received the request for references, the status will change from ‘pending’ to ‘in progress’. Once the reference check is finalised, it will be marked as ‘completed’. Receive direct-to-inbox progress updates so you don’t have to keep checking in.
Once your reference check is complete, typically within 18-24 hours, navigate back to the ‘assessments’ section of the candidate profile and click on the paperclip to the left of the ‘completed’ status.
Click ‘answered’ to view the completed report.
