Xref North America's first birthday, with a recap of four key achievements from the year

Unbelievably, Xref North America is already celebrating its first birthday. Where does the time go? It seems like only yesterday that we (John and Rick) were heading down under, to meet the Australian Xref team, its shareholders, investors, clients and, of course, a few koalas.

We’re excited with the progress we’ve made in just 12 months, and wanted to share a brief summary of four key achievements from our first year as Xref North America.

1. Xref became known in North America and Canada

Companies across Canada and the United States of America now know who Xref are! And we are a force to be reckoned with, and one that has been received quite well. From having 0 clients to now more than 30 in one year, statistics and deliverables that match up with the global averages regarding turnaround time, content, time savings and others, and not to mention, building a world class team along the way, it’s been a lot of work but a lot of fun, too.

2. We continue to grow in confidence

Like anything in life, business can be filled with ups and downs. We are a global start-up, and with that comes challenges - not least the dramatically different time zones! But the confidence of our global leadership has never wavered and we are proud to have have been a part of the Xref march toward global referencing domination for the last year.

3. Our team has more than doubled in size

The Xref North America team has grown from two to six. We are also now moving into our third office space, which will suit us well as we continue to introduce other like minded professionals who are passionate about joining the Xref journey. Our clients are happily embracing the benefits of the platform and spreading the Xref word around the industry, and we continue to take part in various events as thought leaders, knowing that this is only the start of things to come.

4. We’re making ourselves at home

We recognized that, in order to continue to grow and demonstrate our commitment to the region, we needed to acknowledge that French is the mother tongue of more than 20% of Canada’s population. French candidate references are now available on the English language platform in Canada - it was the first region Xref introduced multi-language capabilities to, globally, and we like to think it gives current and prospective clients the confidence in the dedication of in their local partner operating on a global stage.

We would like to thank all our clients for their confidence and belief in our platform, vision and partnership and look forward to continuing to build our great relationships. Further, we are excited to introduce new contacts to the Xref solution and help them to also make better, data-driven hiring decisions.

Patience is a virtue, and one that we have sometimes had to put more emphasis on than we would like, but we know that with continued support from our global family, it will pay off. Xref North America is on its way to big things, so stay tuned for the trials and tribulations that are no doubt ahead of us as we look forward to growing with all of you in year two.
